The Port Credit Salmon and Trout Association held our 1st Annual Tree Planting. We invited Members and volunteers to join us to plant native trees along the shoreline of the Credit River at Erindale Park.
The event was a huge success as we all had a fun morning helping to improve our local fish habitat by providing shade and reducing erosion on the banks of the Credit river. With the recent heavy rains and flash flooding we have seen this summer, there is no better example as to why this has become a necessity. We will strive to continue to help preserve the banks of the credit river with further tree planting events in the future.
